About the Teacher

Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher.  Many of my relatives are teachers, so I guess you could say it's in my genes! :)

In 2006, I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish from Saint Michael's College in Vermont.  During my senior year there, I was fortunate to complete my student teaching practicum in a wonderful second grade classroom with a superb mentor teacher.  Since then, I have yearned to teach second grade!  After graduating, I moved back home and began teaching fourth grade at a catholic school.  The following year, I taught Pre-K and began to pursue my master's degree.  Then I made the decision to fully pursue my master's degree at Lesley University, so I worked as an Instructional Aide in a second grade classroom at another catholic school.  This past May, I graduated from Lesley with my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Elementary Education with a Literacy Specialization.

And that brings me to where I am today.  I am thrilled to be at Saint Theresa's and teaching second grade!   My goals for this year include creating a welcoming classroom environment, providing each student with the tools they need to reach their potential, and making learning fun!  I love to read, so we will be reading many outstanding books, too! Get ready for a year of learning and fun!
